This is my third tile on watercolor background for the Shading Zentangle® Facebook group challenge of the week. I LOVE this one! And I loved making it too. Here is the background -- I used the strange watercolor shapes as a string:

Watercolor on Zentangle white tile, sepia ink.

I used mostly tangles Golven (first deconstructed by Mariët Lustenhouwe), also Jacy (Julie Beland), my favorite Zentwining (Lynn Mead) and also gemstones (learn how to draw gemstones here).

And here is the final piece, after it was shaded with gray markers, colorized with colored pencils. When I say colorized, I meaning that only tiny bit of coloring was added over using colored pencils, as to not take away from the beautiful watercolor patterns.

I'm really very happy with this, and it was so much fun to make!
