Roman Ring

One of the most interesting sources of inspiration to create jewelry are historic references. I ran across an image of an ancient roman ring dating of the third century A.D. I just had to try to adapt it to a more contemporary version in wire, and this is it. The band turned out a little bit wider and airier, more delicate than the original design. This is the smallest cabochon I have ever netted, and it was... tricky, to say the least. Goldfilled wire and turquoise cabochon.
